Host Organization Application Process:

“RARE AmeriCorps Host Organization” refers to the organization that sponsors a RARE AmeriCorps Member. Eligible organizations include public agencies (including city, county, and regional governments); special districts (such as soil and water conservation districts, park and transportation districts); and not-for-profit organizations. Types of organizations include watershed councils, housing authorities, and economic development districts.

If your organization is interested in sponsoring a RARE AmeriCorps Member, please complete the following steps:

Step 1 – Prepare Materials:

View the RARE Host Organization Application Preview and collect your application materials. This is a preview of the information you will submit using the link provided in Step 2. Click here for a PDF or here for a Word Document.

If you are interested in pursuing funding from The Ford Family Foundation, please prepare a statement (500-750 words). More information here.

Step 2 – Submit Application:

Submit your completed application using the Qualtrics link below. When you have gathered all your materials, follow the link below to input all your information. Important: you will NOT be able to save your application and return later. You must input and submit everything in one sitting, so please be sure to have all your materials assembled before you begin.

Additional supporting documents or letters of matching support funds can be emailed to rare@uoregon.edu

All materials must be submitted by the deadline.

RARE Staff will review host organization applications and, where appropriate, conduct screening calls and virtual site visits with selected organizations in late April. Organizations invited to participate by early May will submit full member position descriptions in late May.
