Lake County Partnership launched a survey on Friday, Feb. 24 that seeks public input on the future use and operation of the Alger Theater.
The goal of the analysis, according to Will Wright, is to make available to the LCP a multitude of approaches to review in order to derive a sustainable method of theater operation. The LCP is striving to receive 1,000 or more completed surveys from the community by the end of March.
“After we analyze the data,” Wright said. “We’ll be incorporating our findings into a business plan.”
Following the data assessment the LCP will begin to share an outline of a business plan that will commence fundraising to purchase and renovate the building. However, there is much more to accomplish before these stages are solidified.
“We will have to collect information on the physical structure,” Wright said. “We will also solicit in depth feedback from community organizations that could use the theater on a regular basis.”
The LCP’s goal is to have all the data collected and incorporated into a business plan this summer or early fall.
The survey is available online at bit.ly/AlgerSurvey and paper versions are available at the Senior Center, Main Branch Library, Town Hall and the Lake County Chamber of Commerce. The survey takes just a few easy minutes to complete.
