Ken Ward

Ken hails from the subtropical island of Okinawa, Japan. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Science from Columbus State Community College. After graduating from the U of O, he served as an AmeriCorps VISTA for a youth mentoring program in Vermont for a year. Then, he continued his AmeriCorps journey by serving a year with the American Red Cross of Greater Columbus in Ohio. After working in a variety of fields, Ken is glad to be back in the nonprofit arena.

His role includes maintaining the website, tracking timesheets, planning events, and collecting data. He leverages his backgrounds in communication and technology to help streamline the processes of the program.

In his free time, you can find him longboarding around Dorena Lake, writing all kinds of prose, reading philosophy texts, and traveling as much as possible.
