Community and Organization:

The Eastern Oregon Visitors Association (EOVA) is a Regional Destination Management Organization, representing 11 counties and two tribes east of the Cascades. EOVA’s mission is to develop, market and promote the Eastern Oregon region as a destination for visitors to enhance regional economic vitality and the quality of life for all residents.

Project:

Serving as the Outdoor Recreation and Trail Development Coordinator, Kate worked with partners throughout Eastern Oregon’s 11 counties to develop and support outdoor recreation-based tourism in the region. Kate supported the delivery of the Regional Cooperative Tourism Plan by engaging stakeholders, creating industry communications, and working with regional partners on destination development and management efforts.
