Meet Mark Preslar (he/him/his):

A proud Oklahoman, Mark earned his undergraduate and law degree from The University of Oklahoma. With a background in tourism and municipal government, he hopes to make a positive impact in rural Oregon. His big secret, though: despite telling people he was born and raised in Oklahoma City, he grew up in Forest Park, an incorporated town of a thousand, fully encircled by Oklahoma City proper.

Community and Organization:

The Greater Bandon Association is a designated Main Street program for the City of Bandon. Main Street is a place-based approach to community development. Bandon is a small community in the Southern Coast region of Oregon that sits along U.S. HW 101 where the Coquille River meets the Pacific Ocean. The mission of the GBA is to foster economic development through historic preservation and to be a resource for the residents of Bandon.

Project:

In his RARE position, Mark is focused on making the Main Street process happen in Bandon. Mark is engaged in committee meetings, and executing promotions of the Bandon Business District. Mark is eager to hone his grantsmanship, connect with stakeholders, and serve the Bandon community.
