Meet Gabby Dominge (she/her):
Gabby was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.A. in Planning, Public Policy, and Management and minors in Global Studies and Political Science (sco ducks!). During her time at UO, Gabby gained valuable experience in sustainable urban development and policy analysis. Joining RARE has offered experiences that align with her interests in environmental management and community-focused initiatives. In her free time, Gabby enjoys practicing yoga, diving into a good mystery book, and spending time outdoors.
Community and Organization:
Dallas, Monmouth, and Falls City are communities nestled in the heart of Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley. With picturesque landscapes and close-knit communities, these cities are a haven for outdoor and vineyard and brewery enthusiasts. These cities embrace the spirit of small-town charm, fostering an environment that celebrates both their agricultural roots and economic diversity.
Projects:
Through her work with RARE, Gabby has the opportunity to develop environmental education programs and ensure compliance with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s regulations regarding water quality, stormwater management, and TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load) efforts in the Willamette Basin. Some of her projects include creating a regional environmental education kit, organizing annual activities with local schools, and building strong partnerships within the community. She is also involved in collecting data for a GIS stormwater infrastructure map, contributing to the sustainability efforts.
